Landis Residential Builders

When the CEO of Landis Construction Co., James Landis, was inundated with calls in 2005 following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, he realized the company needed to expand so it could accommodate requests to repair upscale and historic residential homes that had been devastated.

“With the increasing demand we started a new division, Landis Residential Builders,” explains Jamie Christovich, a project manager. Christovich has nine years of experience in residential building, and along with fellow project managers Buff Colomb and Kyle Condon, as well as general superintendent Roy Olsen, they have a total of 54 years of residential building experience.

Their unique personal management approach to each project allows clients to have an assigned project manager who will work closely with architects, interior designers and other suppliers, ensuring a successful and quality renovation. “Most of the carpentry
is handled in-house,” says Christovich, though they may hire subcontractors
for specialties such as plumbing and electricity.

Those who need repairs to their house may call Landis Residential Builders, and “if
the job site fits in with what we want to do, we’ll go out, take a look and make an estimate. Right now we work under a cost-plus contract,” says Christovich.

People are thrilled to return to their refurbished homes, and Landis Residential Builders is equally excited about their projects.

“I like the satisfaction of getting people back in their homes, and giving them a product that they’re happy with,” says Christovich.

Currently, Landis Residential Builders is serving Old Metairie, Uptown, Lakefront and the Garden District.
