Cologne’s Custom Quality Cabinets

Cologne’s Custom Quality Cabinets  builds custom kitchen and bath cabinets, entertainment centers, bookcases, fireplace mantels and other hand-crafted custom woodwork. The company, which has been in business since 1986, is owned by Barry Cologne Sr. and his wife, Ruth, and is located in Des Allemands. Barry Cologne Jr. does drafting work, while the eldest Barry Cologne’s brother, Henry, serves as shop foreman, and his sister, Lisa, is office manager.

How is your store different than a competitor?
We offer outstanding service, and we have the ability to take on a wide range
of jobs –– from little to very large.

How has your business evolved over the years?
I began by building a cabinet in the backyard with my brother. Today it’s a full-service factory and facility. Our quality cabinets are built in our own shop. Our highly skilled craftsmen use the best quality wood and other materials, and our art construction methods are very state-of-the-art. We make our items here at the shop, and we also sell two brands of manufactured cabinets.

What’s one of your most popular items?
Kitchen cabinetry. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, mahogany and cypress are available in natural, painted and stained finishes.

What kind of clientele do you reach?
Everyone, whether it’s a simple job or one that’s high-end. We will work with [customers] to make sure they are completely satisfied with the end result. F
